Firstly, this site is NOT a comprehensive list of people that have died this year. It is only a list of well-known people in popular culture. So I won't be including any Thai politicians or Nigerian entrepeneurs!! Its just a list of well-known people that have died this year. And it is mainly British based although there are people included that are well known and popular throughout the world.

Secondly, its just a pet-project of mine. Its nothing official or affiliated with anyone or anything - I do all the work and use publicly available information to create the entries.
